India Engineering Center (IEC) is set up by Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC), a nodal non-profit organization under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. The IEC, Jo'burg has been formally launched by Dr. Aswani Kumar, Hon’ble Minister of State for Industry, Government of India on October 22, 2007. It aims to facilitate off-the-shelf deliveries to buyers in African, SADC region and Latin American countries.
The IEC, located at THEBE House, 166 Jan Smuts Avenue, Rosebank, Johannesburg, is a multi product showroom for engineering goods manufactured in India. The IEC Johannesburg is the Council’s second such facility after the IEC Chicago in the US. India with its strong manufacturing base, skilled technical personnel and large domestic consumption is now a global production hub. The IEC facilitates a host of business opportunities for companies in Africa, SADC region and Latin America.
